Wiksten is a collection of knitting and sewing patterns for well-cut basics that are simple and classic.  Creating a beautiful handmade wardrobe should be a joy, which is why their projects are uncomplicated with easy to follow instructions.  Wiksten patterns are designed by Jenny Gordy in Portland, Oregon. Jenny worked as a technical designer and fit model in New York City before studying Patternmaking at the Fashion Institute of Technology.  She started Wiksten in 2004 as a line of handmade clothing but later transitioned to the home sewing industry after developing patterns for and teaching classes at Lena Corwin's Brooklyn studio in 2010.

Please note that our online shop currently only sells fabric, elastic, and other products that are cut to measure in full metres. Its a Shopify thing and as soon as we find an awesome workaround you can count on us to make that magic happen.

Buying fabric? Measure twice so that we can cut once! Review your pattern. Check the unit of measure (we go by meters). Add a bit of length to factor in shrinkage during prewashing.

Buying patterns? Pattern size ranges can vary depending on the pattern, designer, and style. Review the pattern closely before purchase and check your own measurements against the pattern specifications.

Picking colours? RICK RACK does our best to accurately represent all products and colours but colours may appear different between device screens.
