Join Tara, Jerry Sneaker maker extraordinaire, for a one-day bag making class in the RICK RACK studio. You'll spend the day making the Louie Waist Pack, and learning the techniques for creating polished bags. With tons of fabric types, prints, and colours to pick from you can make a bag that will be 100% you!

The updated fanny pack pattern features a back zipper pocket, a large wide opening main compartment, super-strong strap anchor construction, and d-ring to hang your keys or a charm from.

Duration: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, with 1 hour break

Cost: $150.00+gst/person

Skill Level: Intermediate. You must be comfortable sewing an accurate seam allowance and understand the standard sewing features of your machine.

Fabric, interfacing, and notions. Specifications can be seen in the item photos. This pattern was designed for canvas, lightweight vinyl, waxed canvas, waterproof canvas, quilting cotton*

Machines: You will need to bring your sewing machine, needles for your chosen fabric, and other machine accessories (i.e. bobbins); all other tools will be provided

Homework: You will need to come to class with your fabric and interfacing cut out and labeled. Patterns will be provided no less than 3 weeks before the class date.

*If you choose to use quilting cotton or a lightweight canvas you will need to apply a double layer of interfacing

Registrations can be canceled up to 48 hours after booking for a full refund.

For guest workshops there are no refunds or credits after the 48 hour window. Class transfers may be made between guest workshops at RICK RACK's discretion. If you are unable to attend you are welcome to send someone in your place, please let us know their name and contact information prior to the class start. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.

Its a Shopify thing and as soon as we find an awesome workaround you can count on us to make that magic happen. Want to put in a request for a 0.5 meter cut? Find the form HERE! Due to order volume, 0.5m requests will NOT be processed during online sales.

Buying fabric? Measure twice so that we can cut once! Review your pattern. Check the unit of measure (we go by meters). Add a bit of length to factor in shrinkage during prewashing.

Buying patterns? Pattern size ranges can vary depending on the pattern, designer, and style. Review the pattern closely before purchase and check your own measurements against the pattern specifications. All patterns and printed materials (books, magazines, etc.) are final sale.

Picking colours? RICK RACK does our best to accurately represent all products and colours but colours may appear different between device screens. Please be aware that any cut fabric cannot be returned or exchanged, so if you're not sure about colour drop us a line or send us an email!
