The In the Folds design aesthetic leans heavily towards the everyday. They’re pieces that will fit comfortably into your wardrobe, but will stand out with their interesting and refined details - timeless, yet modern - beautiful, yet understated. Finishes are thoughtful and considered - helping you to create garments that are beautiful both inside and out and teaching you the skills to make clothing that will last. The patterns are not just a tool to get you to the end result (a finished garment), but a resource to support you to slow down and enjoy the process of making a beautiful and considered handmade wardrobe.

Difficulty: Advanced Beginner

Suggested Fabric: The Rushcutter is quite a versatile pattern and is compatible with a range of different fabrics. Consider using, light to mid-weight fabrics such as: cotton shirting, poplin, sateen, linen, silk, light to mid-weight wool, chambray or light to mid-weight denim.

Notions: 

View A: 40cm (16in) invisible zip, coordinating thread, 1m (1 yard) x 35mm (1 1/4in) single-fold bias tape

View B: 3 x 10mm (5/8in) buttons, coordinating thread, 2m (2 1/4 yards) x 35mm (1 1/4in) single-fold bias tape, small strip of lightweight iron-on interfacing for button stand (if required)

Sizes: 76-131 cm Bust, 61-116 cm Waist, & 84-139 cm Hip

Buying fabric? Measure twice so that we can cut once! Review your pattern. Check the unit of measure (we go by meters). Add a bit of length to factor in shrinkage during prewashing. 

Buying patterns? Pattern size ranges can vary depending on the pattern, designer, and style. Review the pattern closely before purchase and check your own measurements against the pattern specifications. All patterns and printed materials (books, magazines, etc.) are final sale.
