Two Part Workshop
Prerequisite: Sew Basic Cowl workshop at RICK RACK or beginner sewing skills
The Lou Box Top workshop is a versatile, loose fitting top with a variety of variations for you to explore after you get the knack! In this workshop, you will focus on View A - a flattering, basic straight hem with a crew neck option. This pattern was designed with beginners in mind and is also fun for more experienced sewists who want to add a quick-to-make basic to their wardrobe. This pattern is size inclusive. You will learn how to trace, cut, and read patterns, apply sewing basics, curve sewing and finishing. Be ready to make this a summer uniform in different fabrics!
Need some inspo? Check out the #LouBoxTop hashtag on Instagram, and this this blog post from the designer!
Participants MUST BE comfortable with threading the machine and bobbin, straight stitches, and fabric pressing. Sewing machines are provided in the studio space, so no need to bring in your own!
May we suggest taking the Sew Basic Cowl class first?
