Transform your fabric scraps into a stunning statement piece in our new Organza Quilted Clutch class!

In this workshop, you'll create a beautiful patchwork panel using your favorite leftover fabrics, then elevate your design by quilting a layer of sheer neutral organza over the top. This unique technique adds texture, depth, and a sustainable twist, perfect for showcasing your artistic flair while honing your technical sewing skills.

Ideal for sewists who love a balance of creativity and precision, this class guides you through constructing a fully-lined clutch that’s as functional as it is eye-catching. Whether you're looking to upcycle your stash or try something new with textiles, this class offers the perfect blend of resourcefulness and refinement.

Supplies:

  • Neutral Organza
  • Batting
  • Interfacing
  • Magnetic Snap
  • Swivel Hook (Silver or Gold)
  • There will be a small amount of scraps available to supplement your project

Skills Learned:

  • Fabric collage
  • Machine quilting
  • Inserting a magnetic snap

Notes: If you are bringing your own machine, please bring a WALKING FOOT if you have one. We have a selection available to use, but they are for short-shank attachments and may not fit all machines.

While we have some great machines available to rent ($10 fee added at checkout), we highly recommend bringing your own machine to learn on so you are comfortable to venture out on your making journey together!

SOLD IN FULL METERS - fabric, elastic, and other products that are cut to measure are available only in full meters for online orders. Its a Shopify thing and as soon as we find an awesome workaround you can count on us to make that magic happen. Want to put in a request for a 0.5 meter cut? Find the form HERE! Due to order volume, 0.5m requests will NOT be processed during online sales.

Buying fabric? Measure twice so that we can cut once! Review your pattern. Check the unit of measure (we go by meters). Add a bit of length to factor in shrinkage during prewashing.

Buying patterns? Pattern size ranges can vary depending on the pattern, designer, and style. Review the pattern closely before purchase and check your own measurements against the pattern specifications. All patterns and printed materials (books, magazines, etc.) are final sale.

Picking colours? RICK RACK does our best to accurately represent all products and colours but colours may appear different between device screens. Please be aware that any cut fabric cannot be returned or exchanged, so if you're not sure about colour drop us a line or send us an email!
