Shibori is a Japanese dyeing technique that involves folding, twisting or bunching cloth, binding it and then dyeing it with indigo. RIT has assembled an easy-to-use kit that includes everything you need to create a wide range of unique shibori patterns.
Inside the box is Indigo All-Purpose Dye, rubber bands, twine, squares, gloves and simple instructions. It also includes ColorStay Dye Fixative, RIT's secret weapon to reduce bleeding and fading.

Buying fabric? Measure twice so that we can cut once! Review your pattern. Check the unit of measure (we go by meters). Add a bit of length to factor in shrinkage during prewashing.
Buying patterns? Pattern size ranges can vary depending on the pattern, designer, and style. Review the pattern closely before purchase and check your own measurements against the pattern specifications. All patterns and printed materials (books, magazines, etc.) are final sale.
