Pre-Requisites: Sew Basics and/or sewing experience

Level: 1.5/4 - Not sure if you meet the requirements to take this class? Click HERE for skill-level descriptions. You must know how to thread your machine and its basic functions for all classes except SEW BASICS.

• Piping Cord

Not Included - Please bring the following: 

• Fabric: Bring 2 meters of mid-weight cotton (quilting cotton, organic cotton), blends (cotton linen canvas, plain weave), or 100% linen
• Pillow Inserts: Both covers are based on the IKEA FJÄDRAR 20" x 20" and 16" x 23" pillows (you do not need to bring these to class)

Skills Learned:

• Using a pre-made pattern
• Creating bias tape
• Making piping and adding it to pattern
• Edge stitching

Notes: While we strive to help everyone finish their project in class, we cannot always guarantee this. We will set you up to finish your project at home, and we are always here to help!

While we have some great machines available to rent ($10 fee added at checkout), we highly recommend bringing your own machine to learn on so you are comfortable to venture out on your making journey together!

CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY

Registrations can be canceled up to 48 hours after booking a class for a full refund. Cancellations made after 48 hours are eligible for a credit or transfer.  Cancellations made within 1 week of the class do not qualify for credit or transfer. 

If you are unable to attend after the cancellation deadline, for any reason, you are welcome to find someone to attend in your place. Please let us know prior to the class if you are sending someone in your stead.

SKILL LEVELS

We want to set you up to have the best time possible in all our classes, whether you are brand new to sewing or just looking to upgrade your skill set. If you aren't sure if a class is the right level for you, check out our handy breakdown for our 4 levels of classes:

• 1/4 - You are brand new to the world of sewing, no previous experience is needed, we'll teach you from scratch!
• 1.5/4 - You have sewn a little bit, you know how to thread your machine, straight and zigzag stitch, and you have completed 1-2 projects
• 2/4 - You have sewn a bit, you know how to thread your machine, straight and zigzag stitch, and you have completed 3-5 projects
• 3/4 - You have sewn, you know how to thread and use your machine, straight and zig zag stitch, know how to rotary cut, read a pattern, and you have completed 5-10 projects, including some garment projects
• 4/4 - You have sewn for a while now, you know how to thread and use your machine, straight and zig zag stitch, have used a serger, read a pattern, and you have 10+ individual garment projects completed
