The Calyx Smock is named after a part of the flower where petals and fruit form.
Balanced between the decorative and utilitarian, the idea for this dress stems from a memory of a Mother’s hairdressing apron worn in the late 70s, combined with the handmade gathered smock she dressed her child in at the same time.

Due to order volume, 0.5m requests will NOT be processed during online sales.
Buying fabric? Measure twice so that we can cut once! Review your pattern. Check the unit of measure (we go by meters). Add a bit of length to factor in shrinkage during prewashing.
Buying patterns? Pattern size ranges can vary depending on the pattern, designer, and style. Review the pattern closely before purchase and check your own measurements against the pattern specifications. All patterns and printed materials (books, magazines, etc.) are final sale.
