Hi I’m Vintage Viscose Challis!
I’m 100% viscose, with a soft challis finish and large scale border print.
With my flowing drape and lightweight body, I work really well for garments with movement: dresses, blouses, skirts, and patterns like the Lilian Dress from Merchant and Mills. My large scale print means you can have fun with pattern placement and create your own look!
My retro 70s print has a large section of interlocking woven chain links with geometric arches at each end. The Purple colourway has a gradient background accented with red and cream. The Sage green colour has a solid khaki base with ochre brown, sage and teal accents.
SOLD IN FULL METERS - fabric, elastic, and other products that are cut to measure are available only in full meters for online orders. Its a Shopify thing and as soon as we find an awesome workaround you can count on us to make that magic happen. Want to put in a request for a 0.5 meter cut? Find the form HERE! Due to order volume, 0.5m requests will NOT be processed during online sales.
Buying fabric? Measure twice so that we can cut once! Review your pattern. Check the unit of measure (we go by meters). Add a bit of length to factor in shrinkage during prewashing.
Buying patterns? Pattern size ranges can vary depending on the pattern, designer, and style. Review the pattern closely before purchase and check your own measurements against the pattern specifications. All patterns and printed materials (books, magazines, etc.) are final sale.
