Throughout the ages, artists have used their clothing to stand up for political, environmental, or cultural ideals. Clothing is like a language, a form of expression that is powerful and full of meaning. In this issue we are diving into the art of dressing inspired by our favourite artists. As a sewist, you are holding the magic wand in your hands, and clothing and dressing can be turned into a new creative art form! The garments featured invite you to play with different roles, find new ways to express yourself and turn dressing into poetry! Includes 10 sewing patterns by independent designers.

FORMAT
TAUKO is a 128-page collectable that measures in at 275mm high x 215mm wide. There are four folded paper pattern sheets included with the magazine. It is printed in Estonia with a glue and stitch binding to secure durability and easy reading. All patterns come in 9 sizes from bust width 31” / 78cm to 57.5” / 146cm.
TAUKO Magazine is a pioneering independent print publication for home sewists around the world. The vast horizon of crafts, culture and climate is featured in sewing patterns, interviews, columns, articles, tips and recommendations by international contributors.
SOLD IN FULL METERS - fabric, elastic, and other products that are cut to measure are available only in full meters for online orders. Its a Shopify thing and as soon as we find an awesome workaround you can count on us to make that magic happen. Want to put in a request for a 0.5 meter cut? Find the form HERE! Due to order volume, 0.5m requests will NOT be processed during online sales.
Buying fabric? Measure twice so that we can cut once! Review your pattern. Check the unit of measure (we go by meters). Add a bit of length to factor in shrinkage during prewashing.
Buying patterns? Pattern size ranges can vary depending on the pattern, designer, and style. Review the pattern closely before purchase and check your own measurements against the pattern specifications. All patterns and printed materials (books, magazines, etc.) are final sale.
Picking colours? RICK RACK does our best to accurately represent all products and colours but colours may appear different between device screens. Please be aware that any cut fabric cannot be returned or exchanged, so if you're not sure about colour drop us a line or send us an email!
