Join us on May 5th for a talk demystifying entering the 2024 Calgary Stampede Creative Arts and Crafts Competition.
Have you ever wandered around the BMO Centre Western Oasis at Stampede and wondered, "Could I enter something into this"? The answer is YES!! Learn all the ins and outs from former committee member, Lisa Sexsmith about how to enter your creative projects into this year's competition. She'll focus on how to enter sewn and fiber projects, important deadlines, categories, judging, and prizes.
We'll wrap up the afternoon with any questions you might have. You can even take a glance through the Competition Handbook before writing down anything you would like clarified!
This storied event has been allowing creative Albertans to showcase their work for more than 50 years, building on the tradition of displaying creative works at country fairs. Be inspired to be a part of it and possibly WIN THAT RIBBON!

Due to order volume, 0.5m requests will NOT be processed during online sales.
Buying fabric? Measure twice so that we can cut once! Review your pattern. Check the unit of measure (we go by meters). Add a bit of length to factor in shrinkage during prewashing.
Buying patterns? Pattern size ranges can vary depending on the pattern, designer, and style. Review the pattern closely before purchase and check your own measurements against the pattern specifications. All patterns and printed materials (books, magazines, etc.) are final sale.
Picking colours? RICK RACK does our best to accurately represent all products and colours but colours may appear different between device screens. Please be aware that any cut fabric cannot be returned or exchanged, so if you're not sure about colour drop us a line or send us an email!
